According to a new study completed by the United Hospital Fund, the DSRIP program has played a key role in increasing the adoption of the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) healthcare model in New York State. Between May of 2017 and 2018 there has been a 35% increase in the number of primary care providers adopting the model, which is a huge jump from the average of 15% in previous years. The model was created by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and works to improve quality outcomes by coordinating care through a patient’s primary care provider.
