Faith Community Nurses (FCNs) are registered professional nurses who practice patient-centered care: a combination of nursing knowledge and spiritual care. Although FCNs do not participate directly in hands-on care, they are invaluable as health educators and counselors who promote health and prevent illness. The Foundations of Faith Community Nurses course explores this specialty, which can be adapted to various faith traditions and communities.
This three-weekend, in-person, 34 contact hour format will take place on the following weekends: October 4th and 5th, November 11th and 12th, and November 18th and 19th. Registration for the training closes September 27. For more information on the course and how to register, please read the program brochure.
