Just Tell One Program

Recently, Niagara Falls High School teachers were trained through the Just Tell One Program to bring tools to teach mental health awareness into the classroom, and for students to be able to get help, and help others. As described on Just Tell One.org, the program is a public awareness initiative whose mission is to “give Western New York youth and young adults the tools and confidence to start the conversation about their mental health or behavioral health issues.” This initiative is led by the Mental Health Advocates of WNY, and works with the Community Partners of WNY. As also decribed on the website, they work with many different issues: depression/mental health, substance/alcohol abuse, drug abuse, and suicide; their main focus with this initiative is the younger generation.
